Heather and Dave | Arnold Arboretum Engagement Session

July 25, 2010 | |

Matt and I met up with Heather and Dave a couple weeks ago at the gorgeous Arnold Arboretum right outside of Boston. We had a blast! Heather had very obviously spent lots of time researching engagement sessions and they arrived looking absolutely amazing. Heather was wearing the cutest green polka dotted shoes which added a great pop of color to her white sundress. They brought along with them cupcakes and balloons to use as props during the shoot. It was truly a lot of fun, they were so easy to photograph as they were laughing the whole time. Matt and I can’t wait for their wedding this September at the Codman Estate.

Thanks for helping to create such a fun shoot you two! Here are some of our favorites!

Richelle and Jun | Cambridge Engagement Session

July 22, 2010 | |

Matt and I met up with Richelle and Jun last Monday for their engagement session. We’re always excited when couples want to incorporate activities or places that are meaningful to them, so needless to say when these guys suggested skating… We were psyched! Jun and Richelle both wowed us with their freestyle skating – while I was shooting away, I was definitely thinking about the few times I’ve been on blades. Let’s just say I was much less graceful. So thank you guys for introducing us to what skating is all about, I hope you enjoy the images!

Little Red Wagon

July 21, 2010 | |

Matt and I have had our eye on the cutest little red Radio Flyer wagon for the longest time, figuring it would be perfect for days at the beach with Aydon. This past Sunday we decided it would be a good time to pick one up, so while Aydon was with the sitter Matt and I had a blast at Toys R Us. Of course that afternoon Matt had to pull out the tools and put the wagon together! So that evening we decided to take Aydon out for a walk in his new toy. I just wanted to share a couple images from our little adventure!

Philadelphia Portrait Session

July 15, 2010 | |

Back in May Matt and I photographed Sabrina and Ron’s gorgeous wedding at Elm Bank, you may recognize them from our recent blog post which had our favorite photographs from their day. When we first met with Sabrina and Ron back in february, we learned that they were from Philadelphia and we knew they had hopes of doing their engagement session in their hometown. Although we didn’t get a chance to get together for a pre-wedding session. Just a couple weeks ago Matt and I were in Philly visiting some friends for the 4th and were lucky enough to meet up with Sabrina and Ron. Ron’s adorable kids, Alice and Max, joined us as well (mind you they are the absolute spitting image of Ron)! We wandered by historic Independence Hall and finished up our shoot at Franklin Fountain, one of Philly’s wonderful ice cream parlors. Matt and I both agreed that their Rootbeer Floats were easily the best we’ve had. Thank you to Sabrina and Ron (Alice and Max too!) for showing us around part of your city… and for the delicious ice cream!

We hope you enjoy these images from your shoot!

The expression on Max's face is priceless... Eating ice cream=lots of fun! The cleanup afterwards, not so much!

Crane Beach Engagement Session | Katie and Gabe

July 2, 2010 | |

On Sunday we had the opportunity to work with an amazing couple at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA. I say Katie and Gabe were amazing not only because they were so much fun but because they were such troopers. Katie especially amazed me as the flies and mosquitoes came out for a hazy evening at Crane Estate before we went to the beach. Bug bites all around, Ariel and I releasing the shutter with one hand and swatting insects with the other. Katie and Gabe eventually running through the woods in a last ditch effort to escape.

In the end however we came away with great images for their engagement session and all because they would not give up. Thank you both for staying to the end, we had a great time and hope you enjoy the photos.
