Matt and I have had our eye on the cutest little red Radio Flyer wagon for the longest time, figuring it would be perfect for days at the beach with Aydon. This past Sunday we decided it would be a good time to pick one up, so while Aydon was with the sitter Matt and I had a blast at Toys R Us. Of course that afternoon Matt had to pull out the tools and put the wagon together! So that evening we decided to take Aydon out for a walk in his new toy. I just wanted to share a couple images from our little adventure!
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a few family photos with you guys. Matt and I decided to take Aydon down to local, Good Harbor Beach, yesterday for Easter. We packed up cameras, towels and sunblock and headed out for the afternoon. We were shocked to find the beach packed, I mean really packed, with people in a whole range of attire. Many kids and some brave adults had bathing suites and were enjoying the refreshing (cold!) water. I couldn’t believe how warm it was for just the beginning of April. This was Aydons first trip to the beach since last summer when he was a mer 4 months, he absolutely loved it. He was a bit skeptical at first, giving us a disgusted look as we plopped him down in the sand. Within 5 minutes however, he was toddling everywhere, making a beeline for the water whenever he could. He got extra brave towards the end and was running around in the water after we stripped him down to his diaper. We spent a good half hour playing in the water enjoying this unusually warm weather. I can’t remember the last time I went to the beach in April!
Here are a few pictures from our afternoon:

It is truly amazing how fast our baby has grown. It seems like just a couple months ago we brought Aydon home from the hospital for the very first time, yet the reality is its been almost nine months. I have to admit I do miss those days when we could place Aydon down on his playmat and he was content to watch the world happen around him. Boy things have changed and he loves having mommy and daddy chase him everywhere. It’s been amazing watching him and all of his firsts; sitting up, crawling, the first time he fed himself a cheerio (his all time favorite food) along with lots of little things.
I wanted to share with you just a couple photographs from the last few days!
I’ve been a little behind on blog updates. Matt, Aydon and I spent a wonderful week in New york with Matt’s family for Thanksgiving. Aydon of course loved being there, it meant more people to pay attention to him and since he’s now eating solid foods… Lot’s of yummy new things to try. Anyways, now that we’re back home there are lots of things to get caught up on; blog posts being a big one. I have lots of new things to share including; many photographs of recent weddings, an informative post about albums including pictures of our new sample wedding album and a new slideshow we’ve just designed to show of our best work from 2009!
Check back later on for Tira and Matt’s wedding at the State Room in Boston!
The most common response we hear after telling people that we’re wedding photographers is one of jealousy, people exclaim how wonderful it must be to work from home, allowing us to be around our son constantly. It is a mixed blessing, even though we have designated mommy work times (when daddy is playing with Aydon) and daddy work times ( when mommy is playing with Aydon) the other parent often gets coerced into playing as well. Despite some of the difficulties, I wouldn’t trade any moment of it for a 9-5 job.
Back in August we made the move from downtown Boston up to gorgeous Gloucester, Ma on the North Shore. It’s so quiet compared to the bustle of Kenmore Square and Fenway Park which was heard all night coming through the windows of our apartment. Before moving to Boston to study at New England School of Photography both Matt and I were avid hikers, climbers and all around outdoor enthusiasts. Over the last few years living in the city its easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the city, moving to Gloucester has reminded us to get outside as much as possible. When Matt and I aren’t editing images, looking at other photographers work for inspiration, working on marketing, staying up to date with the latest releases or blogging, we are outside enjoying the fresh air with our son.
I think I’ve written quite enough to bore anyone so I will leave you with some of my favorite photos from our latest adventures….
And I’ll leave you with one last photo of Aydon!
