A couple weeks ago Matt and I took a drive up to York Beach for an engagement session with one of our couples, Karlyn and Joe. Joe’s family has a house up there (yes, nows the proper time to be jealous!) and this is where they have spent many summers together. These two are so cute! They gave us a walking tour of the town and took us to a couple of their favorite spots. It really is such a beautiful place. We lucked out with gorgeous weather, beautiful location, adorable couple and to top it all off Matt and I got a taste of, hands down, the best oysters we’ve ever had! Thank you guys for introducing us to this gorgeous place!
Matt and I were excited to receive a call from these two about a month ago letting us know that they were going to be in town for a few days and asking if we could do their engagement session. We have booked many couples this year who live out of state but are having their weddings here in the Boston area (Skype has become a very useful to us!). We absolutely love this! The only downside is that many times we don’t get to do an engagement session or any sort of in person, face to face meet before the wedding day. Needless to say we were thrilled to be able to fit in a session with them before they tie the knot this October 2nd.
Here are some of the images from their engagement session!
Matt and I met up with Richelle and Jun last Monday for their engagement session. We’re always excited when couples want to incorporate activities or places that are meaningful to them, so needless to say when these guys suggested skating… We were psyched! Jun and Richelle both wowed us with their freestyle skating – while I was shooting away, I was definitely thinking about the few times I’ve been on blades. Let’s just say I was much less graceful. So thank you guys for introducing us to what skating is all about, I hope you enjoy the images!
On Sunday we had the opportunity to work with an amazing couple at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA. I say Katie and Gabe were amazing not only because they were so much fun but because they were such troopers. Katie especially amazed me as the flies and mosquitoes came out for a hazy evening at Crane Estate before we went to the beach. Bug bites all around, Ariel and I releasing the shutter with one hand and swatting insects with the other. Katie and Gabe eventually running through the woods in a last ditch effort to escape.
In the end however we came away with great images for their engagement session and all because they would not give up. Thank you both for staying to the end, we had a great time and hope you enjoy the photos.
