Happy New Year!!!

What a wonderful year 2011 has been for Matt and I!! Between March and November we photographed 31 amazing weddings, countless engagement and trash the dress sessions, as well as embarking on some new photography ventures (more on that in the coming months)! We are so very thankful to all of our clients and friends who trust us to document such important moments in their lives and in turn allow us to live our dream!

Over the coming months we have lot’s of new projects to work on and goals we are setting to have 2012 be an even more fun and successful year! We look forward to sharing more with you!!

Kristen | Trash the Dress Session | Arnold Arboretum

I still have yet to post the images from Kristen and Chris’s summer wedding at the Millennium Hotel in Boston but I really couldn’t bear to with-hold a few of our favorite images from Kristen’s Trash the Dress session that we shot this past Saturday! We get a lot of questions from brides (and grooms!) about what a trash the dress session is; the main questions being “do I have to actually ruin my dress” or “is it just the bride or the couple together”… The simple answer is that there are no rules!! Our trash the dress sessions (Or Day-After sessions) are a great chance to get back in your wedding attire and get some awesome images of the two of you together (or just you!). A lot of times on the wedding day our time with just the couple can get rushed and although we still get some great images of the two of you, there might not be enough time to get as much variety as we’d like! We have a lot of couples who got married in the city and want some images out in nature or vice versa… Got married outside of Boston and are dying to get some urban, chic images in the city. The day after session is a great time to do that! For Matt and I it’s the prime time to get to play with lighting techniques and posing ideas we’ve been dying to try. We tend to approach these sessions more like we would a fashion or editorial shoot, we’ve been really happy with the results! We’re really excited that this is gaining popularity with our clients!!

Anyways, enough of my rambling, here are just a couple of our favorites :)

Beth and Jonah Married | Museum of Science Wedding | Boston Wedding Photography

You might remember these guys from their engagement session that we photographed earlier in the year. They got married on an absolutely gorgeous weekend in September at the beautiful Museum of Science, all of their friends and family were amazing. It was such a fun wedding to be a part of!!

Romana and Eddie Married | Boston Four Seasons Wedding | Part I

Here is another June wedding I have to share with you! We had a feeling right from our first meeting with Romana and Eddie, that their wedding was going to be amazing! When they booked us, they had recently decided to have their wedding at the beautiful Boston Four Seasons, I have to say this really is one of my favorite hotels in Boston to photograph at. From a wedding vendors perspective, they are an absolute pleasure to work with and do a phenomenal job of keeping the day running smoothly for all. Needless to say, we knew that these two were going to be a blast to work with and they absolutely were! We showed up on the wedding day and Romana was getting her makeup done by the wonderful Dani Wagener. Once makeup was complete we had some time to take a few quick bridal portraits… Doesn’t Romana look gorgeous? I mean seriously! The whole day was wonderful straight through to the end of the reception. Stay tuned next week to see images from their ceremony, some wedding party pictures and the amazing reception (complete with Brazilian Dancers for entertainment!).

Shannon and Sunti Married | Hawthorne Hotel Wedding | Part II

Earlier this week I shared some images with you from the beginning of Shannon and Sunti’s wedding day. Here is part II with some of our favorites from the ceremony and reception. Plus a couple more images of the adorable couple!
These two were absolutely amazing to work with, we had a blast with them for their engagement session so we had an idea that their wedding would be pretty superb. We were right… not only were they super relaxed and smiling pretty much all day but it was obvious the work they put into making their wedding day so wonderful. We learned that Sunti has quite the eye for design, he actually designed the invitations and menu’s for the wedding and they looked awesome!! Anyways, I’ll wrap up the writing and leave you with pictures…

Shannon and Sunti, Thank you guys so much for trusting Matt and I to document your wedding day! We had a blast with you guys and we can’t wait to see you (next week!) to go over your album layout!
